Webinar for businesses to take place ahead of COVID restriction easing

North East Lincolnshire Council’s Public Health team are to host a webinar for businesses ahead of the lifting of national COVID-19 restrictions.

From Monday 12 April additional premises will be able to reopen – with the rules on social contact applying.

This includes non-essential retail; personal care premises such as hairdressers, beauty and nail salons; and indoor leisure facilities such as gyms and spas (but not including saunas and steam rooms).

The majority of outdoor settings and attractions can also reopen, including outdoor hospitality, zoos, theme parks, drive-in cinemas and drive-in performances events.

Hospitality venues will be able to open for outdoor service, with no requirement for a substantial meal to be served alongside alcohol, and no curfew. The requirement to eat and drink while seated will remain.

Public Health officials set up the webinar following the success of a webinar for the hospitality and tourism industry, held on Wednesday 1 April.

The next session, which is aimed at all those businesses that are reopening on 12 April, will be held on Friday 9 April 2021 between 2:30pm and 4pm.

Many businesses in North East Lincolnshire are expected to begin reopening as soon as restrictions start to ease.

This webinar will be an opportunity for local business leaders from sectors such as non-essential retail and personal care to get the latest picture of how North East Lincolnshire is managing during the pandemic, find out how best to protect their customers, and learn about the next steps on the Government’s roadmap.
